The Blackout EffectThere was a blackout earlier. It lasted around an hour I guess. And, as weird as this may sound, my friends - who are kilometers away also experienced the same thing. Well, I am from Metro Manila, while the other friends are from Pampanga and Nueva Vizcaya. I’m not sure if it’s nationwide, but I find it funny because even though we are so many miles apart, we still managed to experience the same thing! After 15 minutes, there’s still no electricity and I have lost all hope that this power interruption will only last for a few seconds. So being the geek that I am, I have decided to read a book.
I’m not reading anything at the moment, so I’ve decided to settle for Like The Flowing River. It’s a light read, just short stories and some ramblings of Coelho. I really intended to read. But then I saw my old notebook and started browsing it.
When I was finished browsing this, I saw my other notebooks, even my first notebook in college! And I think this hasn’t been touched since the end of the first semester back in 2007.
I also found my first ever Certificate of Registration: It’s like I’ve opened Pandora’s Box, but the difference is these are all good memories. I may have encountered had some bad experiences before, but it’s all good now. And seriously, I smiled to my ears when I saw that. Since I was busy having this trip to memory lane, I didn’t even notice that the lights were back. ![]()
